the niche, look at the interiors and all those important keywords to find and sell your books. Now, Yeah. What is this standing? Ok, it falls under the broad category of children's activity books and is a copy-and-paste niche. It is intended primarily for children from kindergarten to the age of about eight years. And if we look at Google Trends here.
we can see that the interest in these types of books has remained fairly steady over the past five years. Here on Amazon, I just put copy and paste into the search bar and we have 1000 results, which is pretty good. This means that the competition is not very high for that specific search term. Now cut and paste will be what we call a keyword and a keyword that isn't just another word for a search term people use, put customers in the search bar on Amazon. So we will have an idea of what these books are, how they sell well and what the interiors look like. Now, when I look at books, when I do niche research, I look for three or more books in a rank of less than 300,000 bestsellers. Because if I find this, it means that the books are sold in that particular place.
Now let's skip those sponsored ads. And these early books aren't actually KDP books, but their rankings are low for best seller, which immediately tells me there's good demand in that particular niche. So if we just scroll down and find KDP books listed. Now, I've installed a free plugin called DS Amazon Quickview, which gives me this information when I hover over the book, it saves me to click on each book, browse and find that information. It's just a waste of time. So we can see here. It says independently published. This means that it is published on KDP. Now the bestseller number is 340,000, which is pretty high, but if we go down further, we can start to see that we get these books here with lower bestseller ratings. We have one at 268000, 94000, 145000. So right away, it meets my criteria. It's a place where people search for and buy books.
So yeah, it's going to be something I'd like to dig into and think about creating. Now if we scroll down further, we have these other books right here, another one every reasonable order of the bestseller. And we have this, which is a KDP book with a bestseller ranking of 67585. If we go to tckpublishing.com, where they have a very good book sales calculator, we can see that if we go into the bestseller ranking, the book is priced between 69 and 150 pounds In month. Now based on the experience of my books and the number of sales per month according to the best seller's ranking, it's usually at the upper end of that range. So 150 a month, I think that's pretty reasonable for a book that sells for $6.99, that's $1.90 in profit. These are pure royalties for every book sold. That would cost about $300 a month, which is pretty good for a book. So let's take a look at some of the interiors to get an idea of what these books are up to. Ok, so we can see here that there are shapes that kids can cut out and then paste on a picture to create a picture here. We have other examples and we can see that they also involve pattern recognition, counting, and the shapes that come next in a series. Again, combining a lot of different types of skills.
And here is another where the children were cutting these squares with a number of bananas and pasting the corresponding square with the number of bananas and matching it with the number in the picture. So you can see that something like this would be relatively simple to create. Here we have another example. This is where the kids can cut out the components of the image and then glue them together to create the image here, which we can see as an elephant. Now, another site to find great interior ideas that I use often is Etsy. We can see, there are many vendors here selling PDFs that can be downloaded cut and paste pages that we might find inside our books.
Here is another example. The children cut out these squares and paste them into the square with the main picture on it. Now, this is just a small side note. If you want to create one of these types of books, you can use the pages you create, save them as individual PDFs, create your own Etsy store and sell them too. So you can take advantage of this initial work you did to create the inside of your book and you can now also sell it on Etsy. And we can see here, there is a simple worksheet vendor that has all these different types of packages of worksheets together and they each sell for about $3.49. These can also provide you with ideas for different types of books, especially activity type books, popular and selling types of activities. So it's just another thing to increase your income,
just to diversify a little bit, diversify your income. It is always important. You never know you might wake up one day for some reason your amazon account was also a farm. You always have the possibility to have other sources of income, which is very important for any type of online business. Now, when you create a book on Amazon, from Obviously, when a client comes in, puts the search term into the search bar, we want our book to be found. Now, one way to increase our chances of finding our books is to use keywords. Now keywords is just another word, as I mentioned earlier, to get search terms people enter into the search bar on Amazon, who are looking for specific products.
Now why are they important? Ok, these are the words that will be used in your title, your subtitle and seven keyword areas in your book's KDP download dashboard. These will help you rank your books on Amazon, ideally on the first page. Hence, get potential clients or clients to see your books, click on them hopefully and then hopefully buy them. Now, how do I search for keywords? Well, the best way is a free one. Now, if we enter a general search term, like copy and paste, we can see that Amazon is giving us and customers these suggestions here. So Amazon tells us what people are looking for. Also, when customers get this list or when they do a search, they see this list and tend to click on those search terms as well. Now, it may mean that people at the top of this list are more popular because customers may be tempted to click on those at the top of the list. I have now installed a plugin called Keywords Everywhere, which is a paid plugin. And it gives me this additional information here, which is the number of searches on Google per month. And also this small graph, which will give you an idea of the number of searches per month in the last 12 months.
This gives us a little extra useful information. Now I've also installed another plugin called AMZ Suggest Expander, which also gives us those extra keywords people here are searching for on Amazon. Now, what I do is I get all these keywords and write them into a table file. And then I put each keyword in the Amazon search bar, like I did here, and look at the number of search results and save, for each keyword, the number of search results and the number of searches on Google, if applicable, per month. Now what I'm really looking for, it's in the All category and not in the Books category. This is very important. I made a video on it, and it's on my channel. And I'm looking for those with 1,000 search results or less, because that means there isn't a lot of competition. And you have a good chance or a better chance of getting your books ranked high on Amazon. Now, if I find a keyword that you want to use with more than 1,000 search results, for me personally, I'll probably start thinking about using Amazon ads to display my books at the top of the first page of Amazon. Now when you enter these keywords, you will find more keywords suggested by Amazon. And those who also go to the search bar and, again, put each one in the search bar, look at the search results. And you'll get a large list of keywords, which looks like this. I did this for this particular niche and found 109 different keywords. And spreadsheets laid out, all the Amazon search results for those. And also, as I said,
where applicable, the monthly Google searches. And I uploaded it to my Gumroad store and it's already available to you for free. It will give you a head start in creating these types of books. And what I found while doing this research was that there were actually a lot of keywords with 1,000 or fewer search results. So it looks very promising in terms of ranking your books highly.
